Project Title: Braham, Minnesota ICF New Home Project Details: • The Insulated Concrete Forms were used as both Foundational Below Grade Walls as well as the above grade exterior walls. The forms were also used as interior walls in order to build a vault approximately 8' x 18'. Thats one big safe! :) • From the Distressed Alder Cabinetry in the bathrooms to the beautiful kitchen, this home is one that anyone would be proud to call... "HOME". Take a tour and make sure you don't drool on the keyboard because this home is remarkable. What your don't see in these pictures is the comfort, safety, and Energy Efficiency that really all add up along with the Beautiful Design work. • This home is one of the highest performing homes that we have built. From the supplemented wood burning in floor radiant hydronic heated boiler to the additional Active Solar Thermal Domestic Water Heating unit this home performs better than most. The homeowners had two requests before drawing up plans... Strength and Quietness. The Husband wanted to creaete a structure safe from Mother Natures Radical Torndados, and the Wife didn't want to ever hear a cricket chirp from inside. This project is near completion.
Project: This ICF Home is located in St. Louis Park, MN. This was a very complicated project and the owners did a fantastic job of working through things with us to achieve their desired end results. The home is built on helical piers and there is a continuous flow of water in the ground. It currently has a wonderfully dry basement with multiple water management systems! It is a 2-Story ICF home and the home was published in The Builder’s Journal, January 2008. The pictures selected can only tell part of the wonderful story of this home. After the home was completed, the Owners relocated to the east coast, and refuse to sell this home. They said they simply like it too much! If they ever return to Minnesota, which they do every now & then to throw a party, they have the home they want to live in and we were privileged to help them accomplish it. Project: This ICF Home is located in Minnetonka, MN. The owner was selective with architecture, durability, thermal dynamics, structural strength, and the versatility of ICF, and costs. The floor has 2” of ridged foam underneath it and in-floor heat. The a lot of thought into this structure, and ICF was the best way to accomplish the goals of the project, in conjunction with framing the portions of the upper level that could have been ICF, in order to save project costs. The 2nd Floor was framed due to the nature of the design and the “stacking” capabilities of the structure. Project Details: - Designed by Anderson Design Inc. - FOX BLOCK ICF was used in all areas - Framed upper level to accomplish project goals
Project: This ICF Home is located in Little Canada, MN. The owner was selective with architecture, durability, thermal dynamics, structural strength, and the versatility of ICF, and costs. This project involved building a home as an investment, but they have decided not to sell it. We get that a lot. The floor has 2” of ridged foam underneath it and in-floor heat. The owner put a lot of thinking into this structure, and in the end, ICF was by far, the best way to accomplish the goals of the project. We used two different forms to help cut costs on this project.

Project: This ICF Home was built in Maplewood, MN. Providence Homes was the primary builder on this project. We helped guide the builder through all of the details involved in working with ICF and performed all of the ICF and Concrete construction. We worked through the various wall penetrations, beam pocket details, siding requirements, trim attachment details, and interior floor support methods. Providence Homes did a nice job of adapting their current trim details and finished product signatures to this home. Project Details: - Full multi-level ICF Home - In-floor heat throughout - Vinyl siding, integral porch & room system
Project: This ICF Addition is located in Minnetonka, MN. The owner is very educated on architecture, durability, thermal dynamics, structural strength, and the versatility of ICF. This project involved a sizable addition onto an existing home. We accounted for frost protected, slab on grade construction. The floor has 4” of ridged foam underneath it, in-floor heat, and is supported by brick ledge forms turned inside. The owner put a lot of thinking into this structure, and in the end, ICF was by far, the best way to accomplish the goals of the project. Project Details: - Reward ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) - 11” Below Grade & 9” ICF Above Grade - 4” Rigid Foam, In-floor Heat - Block was used for a Ramp that was finished in stone
Project: This addition was done in Champlin, MN. The owner wanted to add some basement space and main level living room and entertainment space. There was also a kitchen remodel involved in this project as well as some bathroom work to make all the space tie in together properly.
Project Details: - Designed by Anderson Design, Inc. - ICF Addition Foundation. - Entertainment area added - Bathroom & Kitchen remodeling was also included
Project: This ICF Home is located in Buffalo, MN. The owner was selective with architecture, durability, thermal dynamics, structural strength, and the versatility of ICF, and costs. The soils are heavy clay, and the rebar placement was critical. To help save costs, the owner decided not to use ICF on the Garage foundation, so we installed block. During the backfill process, the owner decided to heat the Garage and then dug out what had been filled in and added foam to the foundation. In then end, the agreement was made that ICF would have been the better way to go if the plan would have been in place to heat the Garage in the beginning. Project Details: - FOX BLOCK ICF was used on the home foundation - There is storage under the front stoop. The cap was poured in place. - Engineering was provided by Ulteig Engineers - Block was used in conjunction with ICF to save project costs
